Pure Joy Enrichment is hiring for youth program coaches to work in schools and city-based settings throughout the Inland Empire. We are looking for individuals with exceptional management skills and a passion to serve the youth ranging from 3 to 17 years old, to lead/assist in various programs including, but not limited to: sports, STEM, music, arts, health and wellness, etc. The ideal candidate will be capable of developing strong leadership skills, embedding confidence, teaching social-emotional skills and strategies, monitoring activities, and redirecting behaviors to support learning and fun.

Job Duties:
  • Uphold/Model Pure Joy Enrichment Mission
  • Reference curriculum to develop & implement lesson plan
  • Maintain the status of group progression
  • Manage time appropriately
  • Guide/delegate tasks for assistant coaches
  • Use discernment to manage situations that may arise during session
  • Interface with school staff, city personnel, & parents
  • Responsible for all equipment
  • Mentor youth on social-emotional skills
  • Work with students to overcome personal challenges that may negatively impact their performance.

Job Types: Part-time, 1099-Contract
Pay Scale: $21.00 - $30.00 per hour (DOE)

Experience (Highly preferred, but not required to apply):
  • 1 year of paid work experience
  • 1 year of college level schooling
  • Prior experience working with youth
  • Courses in child development
  • Prior experience working with large groups
  • Prior experience playing sports
